Celiac Disease Symptoms And How To Put It Behind You

Do you have celiac disease? Regularly this can be tough to answer because the indications of this gluten-sensitive disorder are easy to overlook or are like those of other diseases.

But if you do, or think you could, be certain to watch this video now for immediate ease.

Here are the most common symptoms:
Arthritis
Bloated stomach
Chest pains
Depression or mood swings
Eczema
Feeling dizzy or faint
Gastrointestinal Tract (oral allergy syndrome, abdominal cramps)
Headache
IgE-antibody mediated
Joint/Muscle aches and pains
Nausea or Vomiting

Celiac illness happens when gluten -- a protein found in food and food ingredients made with wheat, rye or barley -- damages the liner of the tiny intestine, interfering with your assimilation of nutrients. When your body can't get the nutrients it needs, health issues can arise.

While diarrhea, abdominal discomfort and swelling are thought of as the classic symptoms of celiac disease, especially with children, in adults these symptoms are not always present, or conspicuous. Some adults report headaches, fatigue and joint agony. Others report weight gain or weight reduction, depression and hair loss -- symptoms not often associated with gut-related problems.

Or treat the symptom as stress-related.

Because of its many alternative symptoms, celiac disease is commonly under-diagnosed or misdiagnosed. Or not diagnosed at all.

Now for the good news.

Now there is a straightforward, correct way to identify if you are suffering from celiac disease. For the 1st time in Canada, Health Canada has licensed the Biocard Celiac Test Kit, an at-home test that measures the body's immune reaction to gluten from a fingertip blood sample.

While the Biocard blood test is the 1st in screening for celiac disease, you still need confirmation from a tiny bowel biopsy administered by your wellbeing care pro. Do not fret, the process sounds worse than it is. Your GP will simply ease an endoscope through your mouth into the gut's higher intestine so the lining can be examined. Once those results are in, you will know whether you're celiac or not.

Today that diet is getting easier to follow, with a growing variety of mouth watering gluten-free products from supermarkets and natural food stores.
